Rideau Carleton Will Restart Its Operations With Limited Capacity

Ontario enters its third stage of the economic restart, leading to Rideau Carleton Casino set to restart its operations. The Ottawa-based property will transform into a Hard Rock Casino shortly after the business restarts. However, like the other casinos, the venue will function in a limited capacity.

Ontario closed the casino services back in April after health concerns started rising in the province. But as the cases are coming down, the province is ready to enter its third state of the reopening plan. Now, gaming venues will open at 50% capacity while guests comply with social distancing restrictions and wear protective gear.

The Rideau Carleton management announced that the casino would take a regulated reopening approach. As per the official information, the first phase should conclude by today. Its sister venue, Rideau Raceway, is already operating and hosting races to live audiences.

The venue is already set for the reopening process as it has placed the safety and health protocols in place. The casino has also placed plexiglass barriers that separate players and staff. As the guests will follow safety measures, the chances of health outbreaks will be eliminated.

Helena MacMillan, General Manager of the venue, stated that Ontario is already opening its businesses. The manager added that the casino spends numerous efforts to bring back every team member and guest with its safe gaming environment.

Besides Rideau Carleton Casino, Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino resort also reopened their operations. Similarly, Casino Rama also reopened shortly after the two venues.

With such casinos reopening their solutions to users, the Ontario casino sector is set to get back on track in no time.
